How consulting engagements with CAQA Governance are scoped, delivered, reviewed and owned.
Client work with CAQA Governance is performed under an agreed proposal, quote, service agreement, retainer or written scope. The scope will identify the deliverables, assumptions, client responsibilities, fees, payment terms, timelines and review process. Clients are responsible for providing accurate, complete and timely information. Work outside the agreed scope may require a variation, additional fee or revised timeline.
CAQA Governance, part of CAQA Groups and operated by Career Calling International Pty Ltd (ABN 53 162 651 238), supports boards, executives and management teams with governance frameworks, risk registers and frameworks, self-assurance frameworks, internal audit programs, board packs and reporting, charters and delegations, compliance calendars, conflicts and integrity registers and governance reviews. Each engagement begins with a written proposal that records what will be delivered, by when, at what fee and on what assumptions. No work commences until the scope is accepted in writing.
Governance work depends on evidence. Depending on the scope, we will ask you to provide documents such as constitutions, board and committee minutes, existing charters and delegations, risk registers, audit reports, policies, organisational charts and regulatory correspondence. You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the material you provide, and our deliverables are prepared in reliance on it. Gaps or inaccuracies in the evidence base may affect findings, timelines and fees.
Many engagements include interviews with directors, committee members, executives or staff. Interview schedules are agreed in advance, participation is arranged through your nominated contact, and interview records are handled confidentially in accordance with our Confidentiality statement. Where site visits or observation of board or committee meetings are part of the scope, access arrangements are the client's responsibility.
Deliverables are issued in draft for your review. The scope states how many review rounds are included and the expected turnaround for consolidated feedback. Feedback received within the agreed window is incorporated before finalisation; feedback outside the agreed rounds, or requests that change the nature of a deliverable, may be treated as a variation. Deliverables are prepared for the client organisation named in the scope and are not to be relied on by third parties without our written consent.
Adoption and implementation of governance instruments remain with you. Your board or governing body owns the resolutions that adopt charters, frameworks and registers, and your management owns the operational implementation that follows. CAQA Governance advises, drafts and reviews; we do not act as directors, officers or managers of client organisations, and our involvement does not transfer any director, officer, management or governing-body responsibility.
Fees are set out in the proposal as fixed fees, staged payments or retainers, and are invoiced under the agreed payment terms. No payments are taken through this website; there is no online checkout, and no card details are collected here. If you need to postpone or cancel an engagement, the proposal or service agreement states the notice required and how work completed to date is treated. Variations to scope, fees or timelines are agreed in writing before the varied work begins.
Our advice is based on the information you supply, the regulatory settings current at the time and the purpose recorded in the scope. It is not legal, financial or audit advice, and outcomes decided by regulators, funding bodies or courts cannot be guaranteed. The Governance Advisory Disclaimer forms part of the context for every engagement.
